Thank you for your advocacy. Early this morning the Senate
defeated legislation that would have ended healthcare coverage for millions of seniors,
veterans, children and low-income working families. Lutherans sent thousands of emails and messages to their Senators, and the impact is now clear. Our elected leaders must find bi-partisan solutions to the challenges that face
our nation.
Soon members of Congress will return home for the August
recess. We have an opportunity to urge them to work together on improving
