Help Me Live Intentionally in the Connections that Bind Us
Quentin D. Bernhard
---
Please consider supporting my year of international service today with a contribution of any size.
My name is Quentin Bernhard, and I will be serving as a Young Adult in Global Mission (YAGM) for the 2022-2023 YAGM year. I will be living and serving in Senegal from late summer 2022 through late summer 2023. I am one of 24 young adults serving in four Country Programs this year.
I have been asked to fundraise as part of my discerning and embracing God's call to serve. I thank all who have supported me up to this point and all who consider supporting me on my journey through your generous financial contributions, prayers, thoughts, and well wishes.
Moving forward with this year of growth and fellowship means so much to me. It is the result of much discernment, patience, and support, and it is the beginning of something new. Thank you for walking with me during this part of my ever-developing life journey. I look forward to staying in touch this year and beyond.
I will be sharing periodic updates during my time abroad as I come to understand my experiences and share pieces of them with you all.

About Young Adults in Global Mission
The ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission program provides young adults, ages 21-29, the opportunity to grow in their faith and work in partnership with our global companions. Young adults in the program serve in churches, schools and social service ministries. Currently the program is engaged in work in Argentina and Uruguay, Australia, Central Europe (Hungry and Serbia), Jerusalem and the West Bank, Madagascar, Mexico, Nepal, Rwanda, Senegal, and the United Kingdom.
The total cost for one young adult in the program is $15,000. Each young adult is tasked with raising a minimum of $5,000 to help support their year of service. The ELCA commits to raising the additional $10,000 per volunteer through generous congregations and individual donors. If more than $5,000 in gifts is received, the additional funds will help support other young adult volunteers and the future of the Young Adults in Global Mission program.
