Who gives a WELL about Joyce and Paul turning 70?!?!
Happy Birthday, Joyce and Paul!
As you know by now, this year Joyce and Paul both turn 70. And we think that is just pretty remarkable. To celebrate the life of our fantastic, kind, loving, and generous parents, we would like share their giving spirit, by giving to those in need.
A few years ago, we met a friend named Ousseynou, who told us the story of his struggle to bring water to his village in Senegal. The story of his struggle moved our family to give water to those in need ever since. Joyce and Paul have generously donated wells through ELCA Good Gifts each year since learning this story.
As a birthday gift to Joyce and Paul, we'd like to give a well in their honor. Please join us in the goal to raise at least $2500 to donate a well to provide clean water, which changes the lives of an entire village. Please know that any size of donation makes a big difference. To our parents, nothing is a greater gift than helping those who are in need.

With thanks,
Julie, John and Kristy

Clean water is one of the most powerful ways to create change in the world. With the installation of a water well, or spring box, as many as 500 families gain access to clean, safe water. When a community gains access to clean water, everything changes. Women and children don’t spend hours gathering water. Communities are healthier. People can work, farm and go to school. And together, they build stronger economies and a future filled with hope.
Your donation to ELCA World Hunger: As a long-standing presence in communities in nearly 60 countries, including the United States, ELCA World Hunger is deeply relational and rooted in listening. We steer clear of “one-size-fits-all” answers and have enormous respect for local context, local expertise and local ingenuity. Your gifts support tailored solutions – in areas like health, water, income, education, food security, and more – that can put an end to hunger for the long term.
