Support Pine Ridge Reconciliation Center's fundraiser!
Fostering mutual trust, respect and understanding while addressing the deep poverty that exists on the reservation.
Since last fall we have been using the lower level of the Pine Ridge center as a Day Shelter. We open 7 days a week to provide a safe warm place with Hot Coffee, Showers, and laundry. We are working with the guests to find longer-range solutions.
We currently offer sandwiches, hot food, and diapers out of the center. We are bringing snacks and activities to the kids who participate in our Kid's Time Program. Are bringing the Kid's a meal once a week. The members of the
Lakota Job Corp are hard at work running the new Kid's time program and the teenage programs and keeping the center looking beautiful.
We also now offer a program for teens and young adults in the remodeled basement of the center. This group meets on Friday and Saturdays to address the issues that affect the people of the reservation.
As part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's (ELCA) ongoing response to hunger in communities across the United States and the Caribbean, our congregation is partnering with ELCA World Hunger to raise funds for our feeding ministry through a Daily Bread Matching Grant.
We need your help to make sure we generate the maximum amount of support for our neighbors experiencing enduring economic and health challenges. ELCA World Hunger is kickstarting our fundraiser with a $500 grant. With your help, we can raise $500 or more to match the grant from ELCA World Hunger. We have until Monday, June 20th to meet our goal. Every gift truly makes a difference — thank you for your support!
