Please support Faith Lutheran's Community Meal Program by making a donation to our Daily Bread Matching Grant Opportunity. For every dollar that we raise, the ELCA will match it, up to $500.

For over 10 years Faith Lutheran has been having a community meal every week. In the beginning it was a sit-down meal inside where we gathered with our neighbors and friends to have a nice hot home cooked meal and enjoy conversation. 

During Covid our system changed and now we hand out hot meals in to go containers to over a hundred family members who come to pick up or walk up and eat at the picnic table. Unfortunately our oven has to be replaced.

Last month sparks went flying for the second time and caught a paper towel on fire, luckily missing a cook. We have tried to fix the last fix but now it has just become to dangerous and we have to turn off the breaker when it is not in use. Your donation would help us to replace this stove. Hundreds of meals or really thousands of meals have been prepared on our old stove and we need to continue to cook. Any small donation is matched by the ELCA so your $20 donation will mean $40 toward a stove. 

For years after church service was over or there was a church celebration, everyone gathered in the fellowship kitchen.  Many meals have been served on the range. Its just time for a new one.  

We have received enough donations now to buy the range but our refrigerator has been leaking for years and it freezes the wrong things and defrosts what it wants, so now we would be able to buy a new fridge.  And maybe a meat slicer so we dont have to ask to borrow a church members slicer all the time. And maybe even a few more gadgets we wish we had. 

We need your help to make sure we generate the maximum amount of support for our neighbors experiencing enduring economic and health challenges. ELCA World Hunger is kickstarting our fundraiser with a $500 grant. With your help, we have raised $500 to match the grant from ELCA World Hunger. We have until Sunday, June 20th to meet our goal. Every gift truly makes a difference — thank you for your support! 

Our dream is for $1500 to add to ELCA $500 so we can get all safe working equipment for our meals.
