ELCA Fund for Leaders FAQ
How do I make a gift/donation to a particular Fund for Leaders scholar or alum?
From the Fund for Leaders home page, select “Donate” on the top-right side of the page. From there, use the text box to type in the name of the FFL alum or scholar, and click “Search.” On the results page, locate the correct person and click on their name, which will take you to their personal fundraising page. Select the “Donate Now” button; the contribution you make will count toward their goal and display on their page.
How do I make an anonymous gift/donation to someone’s page?
When completing the donation forms, you will be asked if the contribution should be anonymous. Simply check this option.
How will my gift be acknowledged?
After contributing to the ELCA Fund for Leaders or to a specific fundraising page, you will receive an email with gift information and a message from the ELCA. This email will be sent to the email address you provided at the time you made your donation, and it can be used for tax purposes.
Can gifts mailed to the ELCA be counted toward a personal fundraising goal?
To be counted toward a personal Fund for Leaders Day of Giving goal, donations must be made online through an individual fundraising page. Donations toward the larger Fund for Leaders goal can be made by check to “ELCA Fund for Leaders” and mailed to:
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
ELCA Gift Processing Center
P.O. Box 1809
Merrifield, VA 22116-8009
Such funds will not be added or attributed to a specific online goal.
