Donating My Birthday to ELCA World Hunger
Celebrate my birthday with me and ELCA World Hunger
The earth produces enough to feed everyone. And yet 870 million people – that’s one out of nine people in our world today – are hungry. Money given goes to immediate hunger relief and long-term solutions towards self-sufficiency.
Please help me reach my goal by giving today. Together, we accomplish much more than we ever could do alone.
About ELCA World Hunger
As a long-standing presence in communities in nearly 60 countries, including the United States, ELCA World Hunger is deeply relational and rooted in listening. We steer clear of “one-size-fits-all” answers and have enormous respect for local context, local expertise and local ingenuity. Your gifts support tailored solutions – in areas like health, water, income, education, food security, and more – that can put an end to hunger for the long term.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States with more than 3.8 million members in 10,000 congregations across the nation and the Caribbean. Known as the church of "God's work. Our hands," the ELCA emphasizes God's grace in Jesus Christ and service in the world. The ELCA's roots are in the writings of the German church reformer Martin Luther.
