Give a gift today!

As missionaries with the ELCA, the Wilsons are supported by generous and faithful congregations, individuals, as well as the greater church budget. It costs an average of $80,000 annually for the ELCA to support a missionary household. The Wilsons are asked to raise at least $20,000 annually towards this total. Please help them reach their goal with a donation today!

Your generosity through these direct gifts helps the ELCA continue to be the only mainline denomination that does not require missionaries to fundraise their salaries before starting service.   Through your donation, you will join the Wilsons and those they walk alongside to carry out the vital work of God's global church by witnessing to Christ's love in word and deed.

Thank you for joining the Wilsons, and thank you for your support – every gift truly matters!

Congregational giving and covenant sponsorship

This sponsorship page cannot process donations made on behalf of a congregation. If you are a congregation interested in supporting the Wilsons' ministry, you can give a gift by check.

Make check payable to “ELCA Global Church Sponsorship” with “Wilson GCS2052” in the memo line. Give through your synod office or mail your check to:

If you are interested in deepening your engagement with the Wilsons, please considering becoming one of their covenant sponsors. This would mean an annual commitment of prayer, communication, and financial support. You will receive regular newsletter updates from them and the possibility of a visit every two years when they are on home assignment.

ELCA Global Mission and missionary sponsorship

As part of a global Lutheran community, the ELCA gratefully receives the witness of global brothers and sisters whose faith, hospitality, resilience and zeal energize us and our own congregations. In response, we share our gifts and talents to address the root causes of poverty and hunger and meeting human needs, fight malaria and HIV and AIDS, build communities that coexist in peace, and prepare women and men to preach the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

Missionary sponsorship is based in mutuality – your prayers, communication, and financial support allow missionaries to fully live into their ministry, and through this support, you connect with our global companions, deepening in faith and understanding of our global calling in Christ. Through missionary sponsorship, we all grow as a church – together. No matter where or how they serve, every one of our missionaries needs your prayers, support and gifts to succeed in their work. Please join us in God’s amazing work by giving a gift today!
